Description

TWAN member Tunç Tezel is seen taking a photograph in Gölyazi village at Lake Uluabat, 40 km west of Bursa, Turkey. Gölyazi (or Apolyont) is an old fishing village located on an island, which is usually connected to the mainland by a narrow land bridge when the water level drops in summer. In winter, the water rises up to the level of the photographer. This island is inhabited since the Roman era, when it used to be called Apollonia.
