Description

Stars of constellation Taurus, the Bull, including the prominent star clusters Hyades (the V-form face of the Bull) and Pleiades (the Seven Sisters) are photographed above a large bas-relief of ancient Persia in Naqsh-e Rostam, near persepolis, southern Iran. The bas relief displays a king of Sassanid empire, from the 3rd century AD. The king and his companions meet with the symbol of the god, Ahura Mazda, in Zoroastrian (ancient religion of Persia). The king is seen being handed the ring of kingship by Ahura Mazda.
