Description

Turn on your speaker and enjoy this timelapse video clip of winter days and nights near Mount Halla (or Hallasan), the highest mountain in South Korea, a shield volcano reaching about 2000 meters high, located in Jeju Island. The night scenes are brightly illuminated by moonlight. The island is located at 33 degrees north where Canopus, the second brightest star in the night sky, is captured right above the southern horizon in the middle of the clip. Note the moving lights of fishing boats in the ocean.
