Description

From the photographer: “This was the brightest geminid meteor I have ever seen with my own eyes and I have been monitoring meteor showers for over 20 years. This was taken during the full perigee moon and this made the moonlit sky very bright. Lucky for me that the geminid fireball was also very bright.

Technical details: Taken with a full spectrum Canon T3 camera with an 18mm lens at F/3.5 for 3.2 seconds and iso 1600.”

Beautiful, it reminds me of a javelin: a heavenly light sabre.
