As noted by the photographer “This is a different view from the island of Hawaii’s Mauna Kea. What we see thousands of feet below us and to the left is the Kohala Coast and the town of Kawaihae. The cattle town of Waimea is to the right and the island of Maui is in the background. This view point is some distance from the world-known Mauna Kea observatories and the hike there at 4205 meters can give a person a truly breath-taking vision.”
