Glorious Milky Way

From the photographer: “Our glorious Milky Way stretches across the sky on a summer evening in rural Austria. This wide-angle view captures the brightest parts of the Milky Way disk as visible from mid-northern latitudes; from the Galactic Center in Sagittarius, which never gets very high above the horizon as seen from central Europe, up to the bright star Vega in the constellation Lyra, close to the zenith.”
