Description

The peak of the annual Geminid Meteor Shower in mid-December imaged from Creux du Van in Switzerland. The many meteors is this photo composite is a result of multiple exposures during several hours, using a fish-eye lens. The resulting meteor streaks appears to radiate from a single point in the sky. Each meteor is caught in one image and there are digitally stacked to show how they appeared around the shower radiant in constellation Gemini.
