Garden of Tombs
Description
The two brightest planets of the night sky, Venus (the brighter) and Jupiter, appear in conjunction over Delhi, India. The night sky of the metropolitan is dominated by lights and only few stars remain visible in such conditions. The historic location is the Lodi Gardens where several tombs and Indian heritage monuments are preserved including the Bara Gumbad (Big Dome) which is pictured here. It consists of a large rubble-construct dome, it is like a gateway to a three domed mosque, both built in the late 15th century. The beautiful planetary conjunction of Venus and Jupiter was an eye-catching view from all around the planet during March 2012.
