Description

A photo composite of multiple exposures. From the photographer: “Back in November 2013, when bright Venus (at that time visible as an evening star) was positioned almost against the center of the Milky Way. Capturing the whole scene from Red Chilli Rest Camp, I was accompanied by numerous fireflies – the green lights similar to meteors. Over the roof of the closest hut, you can spot a nest of Marabu Storks. The same situation with Venus occurs once per 8 years and so Venus will be visible this way in November 2029 (together with Mars at that time). Another thing to look forward to!”

Technical details: Canon 6D, Sigma 15 mm, f3,5, 45×20 s (stacked, dark frames applied), ISO 8000.
