False Dawn and Milky Way
Description
From the photographer: “The faint zodiacal light (also known as ‘false dawn’) and the winter band of the Milky Way made this spectacular astronomical scene over lake Neour. Stars of the winter constellations are visible here, including Orion, Canis Minor, Gemini, Taurus, Auriga, Perseus, and Cassiopeia are easy to find. Two planets can be seen in the sky here; Jupiter, the brightest point, and Mars – toward the constellation Gemini.”
