From the photographer: “Edward John Eyre sculptures in silhouette against a backdrop of the Milky Way. Eyre is credited as the first man to cross the Australian continent from Sydney to Swan River (now Perth) in 1838-41 assisted by indigenous men. Sculpted by Roland Weight and Marcus Possingham. The sculptures are located on a small hill near Kimba, a rural service town on the Eyre Highway in South Australia.”
