Description

A photo composite of multiple exposures. From the photographer: “This was the only night forecasted with a few spots of clear sky around Bucharest after several outcast days and more to come. I had no time to scout the region before so I left earlier to try to find a place that will have an unobstructed view to the East with minimum light pollution, after all, I just wanted to confirm if the comet was visible to the naked eye so I can show it to some friends and if it wasn’t, I wanted to see if I can at least capture it with the camera, so I decided to use the fastest lens I have (Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM.) and I used the largest aperture (f/1.4) as I needed as much light as possible into the camera in a short exposure (2.5sec, I did not want star trails)

And there was, small and shy, dressed in emerald green traveling through the sky: Comet Leonard.”

Technical details: Stacking of 20 photos 2.5 sec @ f/1.4 and ISO 6400 with StarryLandscape Stacker and Photoshop. Lens: Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM
