Eclipsed Moon in Shadow

From the photographer: “At the end of a night of observing the Subaru telescope looks towards the east at sunrise as the partially eclipsed moon sets in the west. The Keck 2 telescope dome is to the right of the Subaru telescope in this image. This photograph was taken after the moon had mostly emerged from the Earth’s shadow after a total lunar eclipse.”
