Description

The sequence shows all phases of August 2008 total solar eclipse in the clear sky above Novosibirsk (Siberia) Reservoir, locally known as the Ob Sea. The images are made 5 minutes apart and are digitally assembled. In addition to planets Venus and Mercury (upper left part of the totally eclipsed sun) Mars and Saturn can be recognized (with careful look) more to the left along the ecliptic.
