Description

25th October 2022 was nice, warm and clear autumn day, perfect setting to observe and enjoy the partial Solar eclipse lasting 2 hours and 25 minutes. The progression of the eclipse was recorded in a series of photographed every 2.5 minutes from the rooftop of the photographer’s apartment building.

The telescope in the foreground was also used to photograph the eclipse. The alternate image shows the position of the Sun according to the Moon at 1249,  1349 (time of maximum eclipse in Bursa), and 1449 GMT+3. This way, more of the new Moon’s silhouette is visible, partly shaped by the rugged southern highlands.
