Earthshine Moon Trail Above Mount Inici

A photo composite of multiple exposures. From the photographer: “What happens if you film the ashen moon in its celestial movement by creating a trail with 137 shots taken with a focal length of 500mm? the still reduced light of the part illuminated by the sun is such as not to dazzle the sky and allow to resume the movement of the stars on the ground. At the same time, the sickle has created a luminous strip that sets behind the mountain of Inici near Castellammare del Golfo in Sicily, starting, however, from the component of the Moon illuminated by sunlight which, reflecting on planet Earth, illuminates the part hidden from our star.”
