From the photographer: “This Photo sequence shows the setting moon behind the “Buschlkapelle” Ottobeuren. The overexposed part is the moon as you normally know it – illuminated by the sunlight. In this image you can see also the part which is not directly hit by the sun light. Why can you see it anyway? It´s the Earthshine! It´s reflected sunlight from the earth which illuminates the nightside of the moon.”
