Distortion at Moonset

From the photographer: “On the morning of September 10 2022, just before disappearing below the horizon, the full moon was strongly distorted by atmospheric refraction. I took this picture from a village close to Toulouse, in the south of France.”

Technical details: Nikon D7200 with the Nikon telephoto 200 – 500 mm (here at 500 mm), f/5.6, ISO-1000, with an exposure time of 1/25 sec.
