Description

An honorable mention photo of the 2017 International Earth & Sky Photo Contest
From the photographer: “Ancient Petroglyphs are displayed in the foreground dating back thousands of years. I set up the scene with a human element to act as a person discovering these Petroglyphs using the lantern to help act out the scene and provide light on the foreground. The startrails above help add a sense of time to the shot. The ancient glyphs pair well with the night sky acting as a scene of mystery.

Technical details: Nikon D750, Nikkor 14-24, foreground: f/11, 10 sec, ISO-500, sky: 60 shots stacked of f/2.8, 15 sec, ISO-6400”
