Description

A photo composite. This photo sequence made from the famous Jokulsarlon beach shows the 2015 March 20 solar eclipse above Iceland. From the photographer: “Here the eclipse reached 99.45%, but the totality path was still far in the ocean and not touching Iceland. The multi-exposure images shows the darkening landscape and Venus, left of the sun. On this beach small icebergs are released from the glacier lagoon into the Atlantic Ocean and make countless return trips with the tides, to regularly deposit on the black volcanic beach of Jokulsarlon and offer a wonderful and very popular foreground.”
