Description

A photo composite of multiple exposures. From the photographer: “I’ve been chasing meteor showers, full moons and in general, night time events for the last 5 years but this has only been the second time I was able to capture the Geminids (mostly due to weather). I only had a chance to take photos during 2.5hr and I was able to capture more than 40 meteors but this time, it was what I didn’t photographed that caught my attention: there were only 2 planes the crossed the frame low in the horizon and no satellites during this whole timespan. I remember the times when spotting a satellite was an achievement, but lately, it’s the other way around, you are happy to see you caught only a few but, none at all? It was unexpected.

The photos were taken in an abandoned village in what is known as “Deep” Spain (España Profounda) which is the rural Spain in the interior of the peninsula, with high lands (mountainous and flat), but with natural difficulties and demographic, economic and social marginality.”
