Crescent Moon, Earthshine, Mercury
Description
The crescent moon illuminated at about 4.5% swung by planet mercury in the evening sky of 2021 May 13. Earthshine on the moon was also visible to the naked eye from this urban location.
When we think of NYC, the first visuals that come to mind are usually skyscrapers and bridges but here the city parks are equally special. I framed the celestial pair with trees at blue hour to reflect the tranquility one feels when walking these parks in NYC.
