Description

From the photographer: “Yesterday, while I was trying to complete some tasks left from my day job, I turned my look outside the window. Except for the ordinary view of the neighbourhood buildings, I saw Jupiter and the Crescent Moon shining with a magnificent glow around it (glow caused by a thin layerofclouds). I immediately took my camera and tried to capture this scenery, that shown in a much better way than usual.

As I was trying to frame my shot, I spotted something that increased my interest in this shot; Pleiades star cluster was viewed just underneath the Crescent Moon. So, after the obvious wide frame (to include all the celestial objects), I changed my frame using my telephoto lens, in order to properly depict the close approach of these two objects.”
