Description

From the photographer: “The city of Nafplio was the first capital of Greece. It was a city with a crucial role in Greece’s history. Today is one of the most beautiful -if not the most beautiful- cities in Greece. The two landmarks of the city are the fortress of Palamidi and the water castle of Bourtzi. During the first days of December, I planned to capture a panoramic image with the waxing crescent moon in combination with the planets Venus, Saturn and Jupiter above the city of Nafplion (6th of December), having both of the landmarks in the image. Unfortunately, due to the forecast, I managed to capture them just I day before (on 5th of December). As a result, I captured an image where the waxing crescent moon was setting behind the water castle of Bourtzi and another one (Click on second photo) with the planets above the town of Nafplion and above the fortress of Palamidi as well.”
