Corner Post and Zodiacal Light
Description
An honorable mention photo of the 2017 International Earth & Sky Photo Contest
From the photographer: “It was the first time that I had ever captured the zodiacal light, as I usually have my camera facing north to catch the aurora. It popped up on the back of my camera, and it took me a few moments to identify what I was looking at. Since that night, my eyes can now recognize that beautiful glow to the west. I can see it totally unaided! I’m so grateful for my dark skies. There isn’t a better way to spend a cold night, expect to be out there alone under the stars.
Technical details: Nikon D750 and Rokinon 14mm 2.8 Edited in LR”
