Description

From the photographer: “Over the lapsing waves of the largest body of water in the British Isles, the Buck Moon sets over the famous waters of Loch Ness. As moonlight lapses over the still waters and distant mountains, the viewers attention is drawn to the great mystery of The Loch Ness Monster.

A tale that goes down through the ages – an elusive creature that is believed to reside in these waters. Coupled with the Buck Moon – is resonant in the shedding of deer antlers; images of The Monarch of the Glen come to light. Over  a mysterious attraction such as Loch Ness, atmosphere fills the air of quintessential Scottish culture.

Regardless of ‘The Surgeon’s Photo‘ being classified as hoax, it is an image that resonates with all those who interact with the mystery. The reason why some mysteries in my personal opinion should remain unsolved. The enduring feeling of ‘mystery’ is a part of human culture – that continues to excite and endure all those who wish to interact with the unexplained. This experience is equally shared by the Astronomers – stargazers who question our material existence on Earth and amongst the stars.”
