Description

The multi-exposure image shows the rising full moon at dusk above the Fire Tower in the historic heart of Veszprem, Hungary. On the tower’s top is the Coat of arms of Hungary. The moon, captured by a telescope of 800mm focal length, was a Blue Moon – the second Full Moon in a month. The term does not refer to the moon color. Because the lunar cycle, Full Moon to Full Moon, spans 29.5 days, Blue Moons tend to occur in some month about every 2.5 years.
