Description

From the photographer: “Acadia National park is gorgeous during the day and at night the sky offers a stellar view of the stars and the Milky Way to the unaided eye. In this image, the big dipper (stars of which are accentuated with the four point diffraction flare) rests over a lone conifer tree, native to this area and is back illuminated with lights from the town of Bar Harbor.”

Technical details: Single-exposure, ISO 10000, 28mm, f/2.8, 12 second shutter speed on a Sony A7S2 & 4 point star filter
