Baobab and the Moon
Description
This striking nightscape was captured on Morondava, Madagascar island that belongs to the planet Earth, but beside this unique tree in the background, you can see the moon, which also belongs to Earth but is about 384,400 km away. Both of them are unique; the baobab is the biggest and most famous of the six species of baobab on Madagascar, which is endemic to the island. Unfortunately, this tree giant is classified as endangered by the IUCN Red List. The moon is also unique because it is the only natural satellite of the Earth, which for now is safe from mankind because it is difficult and expensive to reach.
