From the photographer: “Aurora in New York? It isn’t as uncommon as you might think, but with the sun entering its most active phase, there are sure some times when you can see it for real in Upstate NY. As predicted, I went out tonight just after sunset and as I arrived the storm peaked, and I captured this single 5s exposure of the other people on the Promenade to photograph the display.”
