Description

Wild poppies on the slopes of Mount Damavand meet with our neighbor galaxy, the Andromeda or M31, about 2.5 million light years away. The light of the galaxy that reaches us today belongs to a period when there was no human living on this planet. To make this minute-long exposure the photographer used a telephoto lens on tracking mount and a flash light to “freeze” the foreground flowers.
