From the photographer: “In this beautiful landscape in the Alentejo region, we can see on the left side Mértola Castle and on the right side the Parish Church (Ancient Mosque) with the town surrounding it. The Moon, in Waxing Crescent, greets us with a phenomenon of great beauty – the Earthshine -, in which the sun light reflected on the Earth hits the dark part of the moon not lit in this phase.
