Ancient Comet Ancient Tree

In this closeup view of Comet Neowise, through 135mm lens, a comet with a 4000-year orbital period appears over one of the unique ancient bristlecone trees in the Ancient Bristlecone Forest at 10,000 feet of the White Mountains, high above Bishop, California. The night climb on a slanted slope and setting set the tripod on uneven slate rock terrain was a challenge.
