Among the Waves of the Sky

From the photographer: “The Mediterranean cyclone Gabri has just passed along the coast of Syracuse. The sea is still rough and the sky seems to reflect its restlessness. A bank of sinuous, billowing clouds stretches above the lighthouse at Capo Murro di Porco, hiding the starry sky in places. However, the brightest stars of the winter firmament manage to make their way through the openings left by the clouds: Sirius, Betelgeuse and a splendid conjunction of Mars, Castor and Pollux show themselves in all their magnificence.”
