A Windless Night in Eifel Dark Sky Reserve

In 2020 the Eifel has been designated as an official Dark Sky Reserve. The region in western Germany is situated near some of the most light polluted regions in Europe near the Belgian borders. A truly dark whole in an ocean of light. The picture has been taken in an extraordinary calm night where a pond served as a perfect mirror for the starlight.
