2008 Total Solar Eclipse from Russia

A photo composite of multiple exposures. From the photographer: “The complete phases of August 2008 total solar eclipse above southern Siberia. The digital composite photo was taken on the shores of the Ob Sea, a large lake south of the city of Novosibirsk in Siberia. As noted by the photographer “Duration of totality was 2m 18s. I had a 17mm lens in place, static, that took an image every five minutes (filter off at totality). I then stacked them on top of another. It’s about as close to the ways of film multiple exposures as you can get with a digital camera.” In this wide angle image, Mercury is the dot closest to the totality eclipsed sun, and Venus the brighter one nearer the tree on the left.”
