Michael Luy

Michael Luy live near the city of Trier in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. He have been a member of the Trier Observatory for 35 years. Here, he organize star tours, lectures and star-gazing nights, especially for children. His biggest passion is astronomical landscape photography. He mostly roam through the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park and the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park. The Hunsrück is a low mountain range in Germany with extensive forests, lakes, mountains, river valleys and historical buildings from the Roman period and the Middle Ages such as castles and palaces. Above all, this region still has an impressively dark and starry sky.
