Zodiacal Light over Kalkalpen National Park
Description
From the photographer: “In this cold and very clear autumn morning, all city lights are under the inversion layer of fog, the bright pale blue glow of the zodiacal light over the Austrian Alps reminds me starry nights in desert areas of Namibia or Chile. The yellow light dome at left is from capital Vienna nearly 150 km away, the smaller yellow light at right of the zodiacal light is Graz in a distance of 110 km. Venus, the morning star, shines bright in the middle of the zodiacal light. This is one of the last places in the middle of Europe with little light pollution. A natural landscape which is worth to be protected.” © Rudi Dobesberger (www.sternfreunde-steyr.at)
