Yungay, the Absolute Desert on Earth

Yungay is the driest, and the most sterile, place on Earth. There is virtually no life on the surface of this region of the Atacama desert, in Chile. The night sky from here is simply amazing. Here in this widefield view the two patchy Magellanic Clouds are visible in the left side of Milky Way.
