Window to Jupiter
Description
From the photographer: “A quiet, starry evening in the ghost town of Rhyolite, Nevada. Once a flourishing mining town established in 1904, Rhyolite was one of the most lucrative Gold Rush settlements in the Western United States until its bust and decline by the 1920’s. Pictured is the Cook Bank Building, the remains of which was once the most prominent and luxurious building in the mining town. Jupiter can be seen peeking through the building, with the milky way towering above.
