Description

A photo composite of two exposures. From the photographer: “We had to wait several months before seeing some of the most beautiful constellations in the sky which are the undisputed protagonists of the winter sky. Among these the constellations of Orion and that of Gemini certainly shine, which rise above Etna here. The volcano, although not erupting, shows a weak activity which projects some reddish glows into the sky while emitting, at the same time, a cloud of gas and dust which moves southwards and is affected by the thermal inversion which shapes its shape. In the center, exactly above the volcano, the winter Milky Way extends!”
