From the photographer: “Venus Transit as seen near the famous 15th century monument, Vijay Stambh (Victory Tower); a 37.19 mt high tower built by the Mewar king Rana Kumbha between 1442-1449AD to commemorate his victory over the combined armies of Malwa and Gujarat led by Mahmud Khilji. It is built partly of red sand stone and partly of white marble and is enriched by numerous detail images of Hindu gods and goddesses.
