Venus over Spitzkoppe

From the photographer: “The picture shows the sky over Spitzkoppe, Namibia, with Venus near M44 (the Beehive cluster) in the constellation Cancer. Spitzkoppe is a famous group of bald granite peaks in the Namib desert. We stayed there on the campsite with a wonderful view on this landscape, due to the moonlight of the first quarter moon.” – © Michael Steffen
