Under the Night Sky
Description
My first astrophotography workshop with my friend Konstantinos Koutsogiannis is over and the only thing that matters is the smiling faces of all the participants, who enjoyed the night sky with us. It was an amazing night with many surprises. On our arrival at the location, we came across a family from Belgium, who were staying at their camper van. They were so kind and friendly and let us set our equipment just near their van, where they willingly enjoyed the beauty of the night sky with us. After setting our positions, the participants had the opportunity to try a variety of techniques; from the more documentary style of a single shot using half of the speed of the star tracker (like I do) to the deep space astrophotography and the more complicated stacking techniques.
This is a four-hour timelapse taken during our workshop, that consists of 426 single exposures. Starting during the astronomical twilight, you’re able to see the milky way rising above the island of Hydra, the participants moving from point to point trying different techniques, the high clouds moving across the sky, the intense activity of the airglow and a fireball falling near the core of the milky way.
Technical Details of the frames: ISO 3200 | f3.2 | 30 seconds
