Description

A TWAN-style self portrait in a night of photography at Etchmiadzin Cathedral, the spiritual center of Armenia and one of the oldest churches in the world. The V-shaped figure of constellation Taurus and the Pleiades Star Cluster appear above the dome. Click on second photo to see TWAN photographer Oshin Zakarian celebrating his 20th years of photography in his studio (January 2012).  The Holy Etchmiadzin is a World Heritage Site originally built about 1700 years ago, when Armenia had just adopted Christianity. The church is located in the town of Vagharshapat.

This is such a gorgeous black and white photo. Thanks for letting us visit places out of our reach. I like to learn about other countries like Armenia. So rich in history.
