From the photographer: “Thingvellir national park is a historic site in Iceland, known for the Alþing (Althing) where the parliament was formed in the 10th century. The Alþing general assembly was established around 930 and continued to convene there until 1798. Today it is one of the main attraction in the south region of Iceland and very popular for aurora hunting in the winter time.”
