Description

The beginning of a night in the southeast Germany. The spectacular Hohenzollern Castle stands above lights from the nearby villages and towns. Although reconstructed few times the castle history back to the 11th century when there was no sign of modern light pollution in the whole world. Today the castle is about 50 kilometers south of Stuttgart and it’s located on top of Mount Hohenzollern about 230 m above nearby towns Hechingen and Bisingen. It is considered the ancestral seat of the Hohenzollern family, which emerged in the Middle Ages and eventually became German Emperors. © Gernot Meiser
