The GTC and Sunset of Venus

From the photographer: “Watching a sunset from the Roque de los Muchachos is an incredible experience … but even more so, the sunset of Venus! At the left of the image Venus acquires a deep red color as it sets. The Open Cluster M44, and the zodiacal light accompanies it. In the center, The Gran Telescopio Canarias (GTC) points to the galactic center.”
