A photo composite of multiple exposures. From the photographer: “The comet 12P/Pons-Brooks above a lavender field, which is strongly illuminated by the full moon. Actually I hesitated a lot if giving it a try and image the comet on a full moon night, as I thought it would be hardly visible…

Indeed I could not get all the details which could be obtained without the moon, but the well illuminated landscape with this lavender field leading to the comet turned out to be a nice idea. On the top right we can even distinguish (with some effort) the Triangulum Galaxy.”
