Strawberry Moon Over the Acropolis

A strawberry pink full moon set this morning over the ancient Acropolis of Athens, the most famous ancient Greek monument in the world, built in 500 BC. June full moon is called strawberry moon because it is the time of the year that strawberries ripen. Coincidentally, lighting conditions and haze near the horizon made the full moon to appear actually pink.
